單字

• You take the trash out in the US, but you take the rubbish out in the UK.
• Or you take the elevator in the US, but you take the lift in the UK.

日期及時間

• If it’s September 5, 2016 in the US, it’s 5 September 2016 in the UK.
• In addition, Americans would say that they don’t work on the weekend, while the British would say that they don’t work at the weekend.

拼寫

• 英式英文會使用‘u’，例如:honour、colour、favourite 及 labour.
• 美式英文使用theater及center，但英式英文使用theatre and centre。
